St Cross Girls U11 lose to a much stronger South Wilts team.

St Cross girls U11 worked hard against a South Wilts team with older, more experienced girls. Batting first, the St Cross girls all contributed equally with the bat but against the fastest bowling most of them had ever faced, they were unable to post a total high enough to worry the South Wilts girls.

Defending 232, St Cross started in devastating fashion with Anna Wetherall bowling the South Wilts opening bat first ball! The pick of the bowlers, Anna also had two players run out off her bowling, one following some quick thinking from Ella Walker who was playing in her first ever match. Both Ella and Atana Arunan, also playing her first match made encouraging starts to their cricket careers. Ultimately, the South Wilts batting was too much for the St Cross bowlers to contain and the opposition comfortably made their target.
