St Cross won a close match showing good team spirit. St Cross batted first with a dominant opening stand by Alex Weston 25 (no outs). Everyone contributed including Joshua Smithson (15) despite wickets falling regularly. Our attack took 8 wickets spread over our bowlers with Morgan Holloway and Joseph Hasan (U9) taking 2 each. Hayden Ingham contributed some tight bowling in both his spells. Good fielding and tidy performance behind the stumps from Lucas Weston kept them in check, despite Trojans' push of 24 runs in the last 4 overs. (Christopher Weston)
