Another big win. On the spirit of cricket – their coach messaged us after the match to thank us for looking out for his daughter when she picked up a knock in the game. Thanks Lucas Weston for thoughtful captaincy.

Sparsholt inserted us suggesting that their bowling was stronger than their batting and making more of a match. We scored 167 for 4 in our 20 overs. Notable contributors were Lucas W opening with 25 n.o. rtd, Oscar Sadler finishing 25 n.o. at end of innings, Alex Weston 21 and
Joe Hasan 15. Also should mention Hayden Ingham with 3 three 4’s in his 14 n.o. going in at no. 8.

Our Bowlers sustained the pressure bowling Sparsholt for 40 all out with openers Alex W and Harry de Hartog picking up 2 and 1 wickets respectively. Then ‘wow’ Oscar S, who had kept pestering me to bowl him, came on and cleaned up the last four wickets with 2 overs, 3 runs, 4 wkts, bowling fast and accurately. Also should mention Ethan Halliden with a great run out with a direct hit from mid on and Silas Kendall fielding well in the deep.
