About the club
ST CROSS JUNIORS
St Cross Symondians CC runs one of the largest junior sections in the region, offering training sessions all year round. In the summer we train at our ground in St Cross, whilst indoor training sessions are arranged throughout the Winchester area for the winter months.
For this summer, we have teams entered in the Winchester Warriors leagues, from U9 to U15 age groups for both boys and girls. This gives plenty of opportunity for the children to compete in matches, putting into practice the new skills they have acquired in their weekly training sessions.
BEYOND THE JUNIORS
We actively encourage children to progress into adult cricket and to participate in training sessions and matches for our thriving ladies and men's sections. We are able to field 2 ladies teams and 5 men's teams, along with a W10 section, which is a softball cricket game aimed at ladies who want to try a new sport regardless of ability and is proving to be extremely popular, especially with the Mums.
St Cross Symondians CC is ECB ClubMark accredited meaning we are "recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages". All our coaches are qualified and DBS checked. We are affiliated to Hampshire Cricket Board and member of Winchester Warriors Junior Cricket. We actively participate in the ECB's "All Stars" programme to promote a "great first experience of cricket" to 5-8 year olds.
